{"id":136632,"date":"2020-08-26T11:15:17","date_gmt":"2020-08-26T15:15:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mafw.org\/?p=136632"},"modified":"2024-01-21T22:03:32","modified_gmt":"2024-01-22T03:03:32","slug":"8-24-2020-for-all-maf-riders-and-ride-leaders","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mafw.org\/staging\/8-24-2020-for-all-maf-riders-and-ride-leaders\/","title":{"rendered":"8\/24\/2020: FOR ALL MAF RIDERS AND RIDE LEADERS"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Since reopening June 15 I am pleased to report that we have had over 346 rides compared to 287 rides for same time period last year and I want to thank the ride leaders who have led these rides.\u00a0 Many of you have stepped up to be new ride leaders and if you want to become a ride leader let me know.\u00a0 Please continue to follow the Covid guidelines outlined under \u201cTemporary Ride Guidelines\u201d on the website.<\/li><li>A reminder again that if you sign up for a ride and decide you can\u2019t make it please cancel yourself from the ride and please don\u2019t wait 30 mins before a ride.\u00a0 This allows others to join the ride.\u00a0 Jon Eiseman has set up a waiting list if a ride is full.\u00a0 If a ride is full and you cancel from that ride the first person on the waiting list gets to ride.\u00a0<\/li><li>Please be sure to update your profile.\u00a0 After logging in hover over \u201c<em>Logged i<\/em>n\u00a0<em>your name<\/em>\u201d and select\u00a0<em>\u2018Edit My Profile\u2019.<\/em>\u00a0 It is important we have emergency contact numbers as well as your personal cell phone.\u00a0 If you don\u2019t put that information in it forces the ride leader to ask for that info at the start of the ride.<\/li><li>Any questions on how to work the new website or on the temporary Covid guidelines check the website when you log in.\u00a0 Always remember selecting the Freewheeler logo top center brings you back to start of the website.<\/li><li>Recently I received some information on chip sealing I want to share with you.\u00a0 Usually after a road is chip sealed I was told it is OK to ride on after 3-4 days.\u00a0 For a thorough list of road closures and hazards check out \u201cRoad Closures\/Hazards\u201d maintained by Tony Marchand under \u201cRides\u201d.\u00a0 Also if there is an * next to a rides name on the schedule that indicates a road closure.<ul><li>Started 8\/18 and may be OK now:\u00a0<em>Meyersville, Woodland, Miller between Green Village and Pleasantville, Blue Mill between Spring Valley and James St (affecting your section from Red Gate to Dickson\u2019s Mill).<\/em><\/li><li>Starting 8\/31 weather permitting:\u00a0<em>Please be advised that the Township of East Amwell will chip seal the following roads: \u2022 Back Brook Road \u2022 Boss Road \u2022 Garboski Road \u2022 Iron Horse Drive \u2022 Melbourne Lane<\/em><\/li><li>Station Road Bridge Construction North Branch:\u00a0<em>Do not attempt to cross this construction.\u00a0 We tried yesterday and it is dangerous.\u00a0 Use Readington Rd as a detour to Station Rd and then Miller.\u00a0 Adds 3 miles.<\/em><\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Stay safe and ride safe,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ride Coordinator<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Manny<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Since reopening June 15 I am pleased to report that we have had over 346 rides compared to 287 rides for same time period last year and I want to thank the ride leaders who have led these rides.\u00a0 Many of you have stepped up to be new ride leaders and if you want to &#8230;
