Going forward as of 10/1/2024 cancelled rides will no longer be credited as 1/2 ride.  To be clear this change is not retroactive to last year. The Ride Leader Handbook will be changed to reflect this new policy. Manny

RIDE COORDINATOR UPDATE

CLOSING OUT RIDES – After leading a ride please go to “MY SCHEDULED RIDES” and update your ride by entering the number of riders and be sure to save changes.  This is important as we get to the end of Sept.  As a reminder you need 12 rides to qualify for the ride leader award and the year runs from Oct 1 to Sept 30.

CHIP SEAL – I have received reports of chip sealing in the Mountainville and Whitehouse areas.  After a couple of days, the roads will settle but I have observed large amounts of gravel on the sides of the road. Be careful until this gravel clears.

MAFW Foundation Fundraiser Lunch – 10/21

Just wanted you all to know that Rob Greenberg, our EMS squad coordinator for the Ramble, has arranged with the Parsippany Gourmet Cafe’s owner to donate 10% of his one-day receipts (for Oct 21) to the Foundation. It’s a highly rated restaurant and reasonably priced so join us for some good food and conversation.  Several people are going from the club, including me.  It’s open to anyone. If you’re interested, just let Rob know you are coming. Rob’s email and a link to the restaurant are attached below.

FYI the restaurant is near the Denville starting point if you want to get a ride in beforehand.
