This is a variation of ride #651 (Pluckemin-Oldwick-Whitehouse) with a different food stop. It's a "Pretzel" ride that crosses itself many times and never gets you too far from start point. Make sure your Garmin is working well.

Food stops:
Whitehouse (Bagel Junction, mile 16.9) or Oldwick General Store (mile 24.3).

11/24Mon 10:15amC/C+/45/2025Summer Road Park, ReadingtonAndy Milstein1124 - Left at Dilly's Corner45

We will avoid riding in PA, and also take a detour at mile 18.6.  A good friend of mine says, “This eliminates the boring, flat busy road between Stockton and L’ville. Besides the coffee stop in L’ville is better than Stockton.”  Here is the route.  https://ridewithgps.com/routes/53231009

This ride is now only 42.4 miles.

The break will be at Luminary Coffee at mile 22.8.

Leaving Summer Road Park, you will ride through historic Hunterdon County. The following prominent families have roads named after them: Voorhees, Case, Lambert, Rittenhouse, Dilts,  Buchanan and Woolverton. Cross the Delaware at Stockton to Dillys Corner (PA), left onto Rte 32 S and return via New Hope to Lambertville. Rest stop at the Lambertville Trading Company or at others coffee houses available. Then follow a comfortable route back to the start. Tour by Tony Marchand and Pat Kipp (2017).

Food stops:
14: Andy Milstein(C), Lynn Kheshgi(C+), Bill Kolano, Andrew Diorio, James Anderson, Haroon Kheshgi(NA), Dave Hall(C), Ed Steinman(NA), Lou Blanco(C), Dennis McDermott(C), jeff charney, Lisa Gentile, Max Smith, John Parsekianridden
11/30Sun 10:00amC/C+/33/1108Pops Bike ShopMichael Chenkin1495 - No Rest for the Weary from Pop's34

Help me celebrate my 72nd birthday with a new start point at Pop's Bike Shop.  Hopefully the weather will cooperate.  Optional after-ride and non club-related meet at Village Brewing Company, a brewpub located practically across the street  from Pop's.  Free parking in Somerville on Sundays and parking is available in the lot behind Pop's Bike shop, accessible by turning on Warren St and into the parking lot.

My respectful requests/expectations:

  1. I will sweep as per the Ride Leader manual.
  2. I expect at least 1 person to ride with me, especially since I have a cardiac condition.
  3. I prefer that all who sign up commit to riding within the club’s average speed for the posted pace and prefer you not sign up if you plan to exceed the maximum average speed for the posted pace. Anyone who chooses to ride faster than the maximum average speed for the posted pace will be considered to be on your own unless you stop to regroup periodically.
  4. Please be able to maintain the minimum average speed for the posted pace, however, no one will be dropped.
  5. No one rides alone.
  6. Keep an eye on your fellow riders: bikes break, accidents happen, medical emergencies happen.

Similar to 1024 but starting from Pop's Bike Shop
