New York’s “Everything Bagel” is the longest route on the NYC course, and the perfect route for a hard ~1-hour effort. It covers nearly every road section, many of them in both directions. Looking for a challenge? You’ll get several chances to test your legs against the leaderboards as you hit the KOM and sprint sections in both directions. 1722' climbing, we will see if we can finish the 21 miles in an hour!

We will be trying the Discord App to talk in real time during the ride. To use this, download the Discord App and the discord "channel" we use is "Team RWB Weekly Ride".

We are starting a weekly MAFW Zwift ride combining the ride with the veterans organization Team Red White and Blue. These are NO DROP, 60 minute rides using the “stay together” feature so no matter what your wattage or pace, you will stay with the group! Since these are meet up rides, you have to follow the Leader on the companion app. My user name on Zwift is Hudson Hartmann (Team RWB). Please let me know via email if you need an invite (christopher.hartmann@teamrwb.org).

Weather.com says it will be 39 degrees at the start, and then go into the mid 40s during the ride.

This is another one of my favorite rides, and for good reason. Mostly quiet beautiful roads, not too flat, but not too hilly either. I will happily sweep any rider who can average 14.5 mph.   We will avoid bumpy Frontage Road by going straight (not left) at mile 21.6, and instead taking a left at 22.1 on Rt 179.  See https://ridewithgps.com/routes/38057119

If requested by anyone on the ride, there will be a very, very, very, very short bathroom break in Ringoes.

Planned stop at Ridge bagel at mile 20.3.

Sunday has some wind.  Temps are higher near 30 but could feel like lower 20's with the wind.

Travel thru Millington to Liberty Corner and then return thru Basking Ridge and the Great Swamp. Skyline is the best downhill! 8: Lynne Avery(C), Gary Tracy(C), Stephen Davis(C), George Decker(C), Walter Paul(C+), Juan Cortes, Jeff Sperling(C)ridden

Weather should be above freezing and partly cloudy .  Join me to celebrate this mid winter ride.  Potential stops in Califon or Oldwick.

While the route is in a familiar area, it traverses roads that we use less frequently. A couple of tough climbs (between Mountainville and Califon on Water St/Mountain Grove and leaving Califon on West Valley Brook) are rewarded with some great downhills (Hoffman’s Crossing Road and Old Turnpike Rd to Oldwick). There is a nice flat section near Califon paralleling the Columbia Trail and the South Branch of the Raritan River. Also a choice of two great food stops - Bex at the midway point or Oldwick if you want to wait until after the serious climbing is done.

Food stops: 0: canceled

Sorry for the late notice. The temperature should be warming up nicely by wheels down.

If you're like me, you're looking for any excuse lately to get out of the house and ride.

Come join me to see if you still remember how to ride a bike?

They say you never forget. Come ride and we'll find out together!

Note start time is 11:00 A.M to catch what warmth will be available.

Time changed to 11:30 am for better temperatures.  It’ll be cool but sunny and winds from the south. It should feel warmer than the predicted temperature. A nice ride to get some miles in before the snow storm.

This route climbs to the highest point in Tewksbury, on Mt. Grove. Then travels around Cokesbury and into Lebanon, before going back to Tewksbury. There are some familiar roads and hills and some not so familiar roads and hills, all very quiet and pleasant. Tour by Muffin Williams (2017)

Oldwick General Store - mile 29

Too slippery out there to ride, so I have to cancel

With snow in the forecast for Friday night into Saturday, let’s get this short ride in. It has enough climbing to warm you up and keep you comfortable.  I’ve scheduled the ride for a 12 noon start. Current forecast will be cloudy, light wind, with temperatures in the mid 30s. Other than a brief stop for fluids and an energy bar, we will be riding straight through. Come join me on Friday.

Ride thru Chatham, Meyersville, the Great Swamp, and Harding Twp. The downhills
seem longer and faster. Option for a shorter 20 mile ride.

Food stops:
Mountain Hill Bistro (mile 10.5).

I can’t think of a better way to celebrate Groundhog’s Day. I can guarantee it won’t feel like Spring but probably the best weather day of the week. Ride is listed as C terrain but math says B. There is some climbing on the second half so let’s say C+. All riders welcome but I plan to maintain a moderate pace considering possible icy conditions in spots.

A scenic ride to the food stop in Ringoes, then a few hills to test the legs.
