HOWE

Just a reminder that come summer all rides from Colonial Park should be from Howe Athletic Parking Lot.  The rides tomorrow should be OK since it is not summer yet and it is Monday and it is Dave’s birthday.  However, be prepared if the Ranger approaches you to move.  The reason we have to switch to Howe is that the Colonial Park parking areas fill up during the summer for people using the park.  The Rangers don’t want cyclists taking up parking spaces and then leaving the park.  Thanks for your cooperation, Manny

REVOLUTIONARY RAMBLE TEST RIDES

This Saturday June 1 we will have the test rides for the Revolutionary Ramble and all rides are posted on the MAFW Schedule.  Note that all rides are limited to 10 riders and all rides are D+ pace.  The 25, 38 and 50 mile test rides start from Raritan Valley Community College and note that there may not be any facilities there.  The 70 mile test ride only checks part of the ride or 25.4 miles and starts from the parking lot opposite Cocolux in Peapak. The 100 mile test ride only checks part of the ride or 43.3 miles and starts from Cold Brook Preserve Parking Lot in Oldwick.  See the rides for more details. Please sign up for one of the rides.  We need your help to make the 2024 Ramble a success.

Here is what needs to be done:

  1. Please validate all directions, including cue sheets, Garmin files and directional arrows on the road
  2. Make note of any discrepancies
  3. Identify any hazards

Thanks, Manny

SCU REGIONAL CALENDAR

It was brought to my attention that Suburban Cyclists Unlimited Bike Club put together a regional calendar of cycling events.  I contacted SCU and we have permission to share the link below to the calendar with our members.  I think you will find it very informative.

SCU is running a great event Saturday, July 13 called Summer Century.  In addition to century ride they do have shorter rides.  Rides take place in Bucks and Hunterdon Counties.
